Our Story

Education that respects your time and your intelligence

Synaptide was founded with one straightforward idea: that online learning in AI and software development should be clear, well-structured and honest about what it can and cannot deliver.

Who We Are

About Synaptide

Synaptide started in Bangkok in 2021, when a group of software developers noticed a recurring problem: people who wanted to understand AI and machine learning were either being pushed towards expensive bootcamps with sweeping promises, or left to piece things together from scattered free resources with no support.

The school was built as a middle path. Three structured online tracks, each designed to follow the previous one, with clear scope and honest pricing. No claims about jobs or income. No pressure tactics. Just a place where someone can sit down, work through material at their own pace and come out the other side with real skills and something to show for the time spent.

We operate fully online and serve learners across Thailand and Southeast Asia. Our teaching team comes from working backgrounds in software development and data engineering — not from academic publishing. The courses reflect what people actually use in day-to-day technical roles.

Synaptide is based at our Bangkok office in Thonglor, where we also host occasional in-person workshops for learners based in the city.

Mission

To make structured AI and software education available to anyone in Thailand who is willing to put in the work — without inflating expectations or burying important information in small print.

Approach

Every course is built around projects you write from scratch. Theory is kept to the amount that actually helps you build something. Feedback comes from a person, not an automated grader.

Values

Transparency about what you will and won't learn. Respect for learners who have other commitments. Plain pricing with no recurring charges. Support that responds within two working days.

The Team

People Behind the Courses

All members of our teaching team have professional development backgrounds. They write the course material and review your work directly.

NA

Nattapong Aroonwong

Curriculum Lead & Python Instructor

Eight years building data pipelines and backend systems in Bangkok. Designed the Python and AI fundamentals track from the ground up.

SW

Siriporn Wattana

Machine Learning Mentor

Previously a data scientist at a logistics firm in Chiang Mai. Leads the practical machine-learning track and reviews all portfolio project submissions.

KC

Kris Charoenwong

AI Engineering Instructor

Software engineer with experience deploying ML models in production environments. Runs the advanced AI engineering and deployment programme.

Standards

How We Work

The following practices shape every course we publish and every interaction we have with learners.

Practitioner-written content

All lessons are written by people who have used the tools in real work. We do not source content from generic curricula or outsource writing to non-practitioners.

Regular curriculum review

Course material is reviewed and updated twice a year. AI tooling moves fast — we keep the content aligned with tools that are actually in use, not those that were relevant two years ago.

Data privacy

We collect only the personal data needed to deliver a course and respond to enquiries. No data is sold to third parties. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Two-day response commitment

We commit to responding to all questions — whether submitted via the forum or by email — within two business days during our office hours.

Open-source tools only

Every tool used across our courses is free and open-source. Learners are not locked into paid platforms or proprietary software to complete or apply what they study.

Honest scope statements

Each course page describes exactly what you will build and how long it takes. We do not make claims about employment outcomes, income or skill speed that we cannot support.

About our field

Software development education in a changing field

Python has become one of the most widely used languages in data-related work because its syntax is accessible and its ecosystem for numerical computing and machine learning is well-developed. For someone starting out, this makes it a practical first language to pick up — not because it is always the best tool for every task, but because it opens the door to a large body of usable libraries and community knowledge.

Machine learning, as a field, has shifted significantly over the past five years. Much of what was once specialist knowledge — building a simple classifier, processing tabular data, evaluating a model — is now available through well-documented open-source libraries. This means the barrier to building a first working model has come down substantially. What has not become simpler is understanding why a model behaves as it does, how to structure data correctly, and how to deploy something reliably in a real environment.

At Synaptide, our courses reflect this shift. The beginner track gives people a working foundation in Python and a clear view of what AI actually involves at the level of code. The intermediate track moves into building and evaluating models using tools that are in active use across the industry. The advanced programme addresses the gap between "model that works on a laptop" and "system that runs reliably in production" — a gap that a lot of learning resources ignore.

We are based in Bangkok and our learners are primarily located in Thailand and nearby countries in Southeast Asia. The courses are conducted in English because the technical literature in this field is predominantly English-language, and we believe it is more useful to teach in the language that learners will encounter the majority of their reference material in.
