Cookie Policy

Last Updated: 15 May 2026

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, how Synaptide uses them on this website, and the choices available to you. If you have any questions, you are welcome to reach out at [email protected].

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit. They allow the site to remember certain information about your visit — for example, your language preference or whether you have accepted certain consent notices.

Cookies do not contain personally identifiable information on their own, though they may be used in combination with other data. You can manage or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time; see Section 6 for browser-specific instructions.

2. Cookie Categories We Use

We organise cookies into four categories based on their purpose:

Essential Cookies Always Active

Required for the website to function correctly. They handle session continuity, consent preferences, and basic security. These cannot be disabled while using the site.

Typical duration: session to 12 months

Required

Analytics Cookies

Help us understand how visitors interact with the site — which pages are viewed most, where users spend time, and where they leave. This information is used in aggregate to improve the site experience.

Typical duration: up to 24 months

Marketing Cookies

Used to provide relevant course information when you visit other websites. These cookies track visits across sites and may be used by third-party advertising partners. Disabling them will not reduce advertising generally, but it may make ads less relevant to your interests.

Typical duration: up to 12 months

Preference Cookies

Remember settings you have chosen, such as display preferences or any region or language selections, so you do not need to re-enter them on each visit.

Typical duration: up to 12 months

3. Third-Party Cookies

Some cookies on this site are placed by third-party services that appear on our pages or help us measure and improve the site. These may include:

  • Google Analytics — for site usage statistics. Google's privacy policy applies to data processed by this service.
  • Google Maps — used on our contact page to display our location. Google may set cookies when you interact with the map embed.
  • Advertising networks — if marketing cookies are accepted, these services may place cookies to support relevant advertising.

Third-party cookies are governed by the respective privacy policies of those providers. We do not control those cookies directly.

4. Cookie Duration

Cookies fall into two duration types:

  • Session cookies — exist only while your browser is open. They are deleted automatically when you close your browser tab or window.
  • Persistent cookies — remain on your device for a set period (typically between one month and two years, depending on the cookie). You can delete these at any time through your browser settings.
